Whole 30 – Day 2

Whole 30 Day 2

Whole 30 - Day 2 the Sleepies

This morning I had a little trouble waking up but I also didn’t sleep that great AND I went to bed late. Nonetheless, I did get up and get my shower and grab a cup of coffee. Once up and going, I felt pretty decent and had a reasonable amount of energy getting myself to work. So the grogginess, brain fog, or headache hadn’t set in yet. Always a good way to start the day.

Work was my leftover Sweet Potato Hash with Bacon and my fruit mix. Thankfully I thought to bring my banana which I am very thankful for. Because this morning I was HUNGRY! I enjoyed my breakfast while getting some of my Tuesday morning things done at work and was still feeling pretty amped up and good.

And then lunch……. Right before I got to lunch I could feel myself getting oh so very hungry! I mean, I’ve been hungrier in my life but I was starting to feel a bit “off”. I ate my Jamaican Jerk Chicken again and got back to my desk and then the fun began.

What I notice is that when I start getting sleeping during the day, I equate that with being hungry. I had plenty to eat, I had just eaten but because of the fatigue, lethargy, and brain fog wall I was hitting I somehow think this meant I needed food.

I am, once again, thankful the candy dish is out of sight. I really need to move that into the other room.

It is, days like this when I wish that I could work from home. Then I’d get in a cat nap which would help me get through my day. And it’s not just doing the Whole 30, but I’ve delt with chronic fatigue for years. So I often hit a wall in the afternoon which is why I turn to food so much. I think it’s going to help me get more energy. And yes, it gives me something to do to stay awake but it doesn’t really give me that much energy. I’m hopeful that this new eating will help out with the energy issues once this detox portion is done.

Well enough of my mumbling, see you tomorrow for day 3!
